FROM THE PRESIDENT |
There is no doubt that the face of healthcare continues to change as we enter this new decade. Are you prepared for that change?
Recently, I was selected to serve on the Advisory Board of the Society of Healthcare Strategy and Market Development (SHSMD). This has given me a birds eye view of the challenges we all face, as well as the potential upside by employing strategies to answer these challenges.
We are seeing a trend towards patient education, physician relations and business development, which is leaning away from the traditional advertising strategies currently employed by healthcare companies.
Wellness Communications continues to stay on the cutting edge of these changes, and is designing marketing programs to answer the challenges that our clients will face as a result in the coming years.
We have launched a new division of our company, which is focusing on referral marketing (growth and retention) for our clients. Early results are encouraging with an average 37% increase in referrals.
The Internet has fueled a more patient-focused model of healthcare. The changes in how people view their healthcare as a result has created a cadre of active patients who require more support and information than has been traditional provided. Clearly, there is an opportunity to deliver new online services to consumers that combine peer-to-peer communications with financial, medical and provider information. Our online department is proactive in delivering these enhancements to our clients through patient education videos, interactive forms, web seminars, email marketing, online marketing and social media.
I invite you to explore our website for more information on our services and look forward to the opportunity to work with you in the challenging, yet hopeful future.
Sincerely, |
